The Project

The Transformational Connection Hub is opening up again in May, June, September and October this year. You can apply here. At the application form you have the option to choose TC as your primary interest and you’ll be offered rooms in the TC hub.

It's a chance to come on holiday or co-live in a transformational community environment in beautiful nature in Portugal! We run at least 5 TC sessions here a week, you have access to a large expanse of land, pool, sauna, dance studio and other regular embodied practice opportunities and events. 

The project takes place at fool's valley as part of their residencies programme.

What to expect?

  • A transformational space in a beautiful setting, inspiring a community spirit.
  • A space where individuals can come together to live, co-work, host and co-create your own practices and regularly practice Transformational Connection.
  • TC sessions are led by our resident leaders leaders with occasional sessions open to the wider community or the public.
  • Everyone is welcome to bring their creativity, ideas, and self-leadership to contribute to the space.
  • Fool's valley is also a centre for conducting academic research into the efficacy of practices like Transformational Connection.  
  • You can book by the week or month.

  • An ideal location 30 minute north of Lisbon.
  • All meals provided for in community with occasional help asked for and responsibility for cleaning up. 
  • Five 2-hour TC sessions per week, typically held from 4pm-6pm with some flexibility to suit residents.

FAQ 

What does a typical day look like? 

Each day includes a 2-hour TC session shared meals. There will typically be a check in together in the morning or a chance to join dance or meditation sessions. There's also the chance to explore nature, work, hike, use the pool and sauna or visit the local beaches or Lisbon. 

 

How many sessions are there per week, and do I need to attend all of them? 

There are at least five sessions per week, with weekends left more open. Participation is encouraged but not mandatory.

 

What are the accommodation types? 

Different Private rooms, or Dorm.

    

Who will be leading the TC sessions? 

A wide range of experienced leaders who have extensively trained with us who we trust to represent the paradigm.

 

Will I have free time? 

Yes - outside of sessions and the shared meal, you are free to structure your time as you wish. You can choose your exact dates and we'll give you a rate based on the number of days.

 

What activities are available outside of sessions? 

You can walk, swim, explore the area, use the sauna, or practice with others. There are lots of beautiful beaches all within 30 mins drive.

 

Can I work remotely? 

Yes, the environment supports remote work.

 

What should I bring? 

Comfortable clothing, slippers, shoes suitable for mud, swimwear, work materials (if needed), and anything for personal comfort. We recommend bringing warm clothes and slippers in the colder months.

 

How do I get there?

The venue is about a 30 minute drive from Lisbon airport and getting an Uber is around €20-€30.
